Over 80,000 square feet of SnapSports® patented Indoor Bounceback ShockTower Futsal Flooring is Santa Clara bound for the 2019 US Futsal Northwest Regional Championship.
The event takes place March 1st – 3rd at the Santa Clara Convention Center in California. As part of the Road to the US Futsal National Championship, 240 teams of boys and girls ages 9–19 will compete on nine SnapSports Indoor Futsal courts. Winners will earn a bid to attend the 34th National Championship event in July.
When looking for tournament flooring, SnapSports Indoor BounceBack ShockTower® was the clear choice for USFF officials. The versatile BounceBack surface utilizes SnapSports patented ShockLock® technology, a system designed to absorb lateral impact. This is a key benefit to athletes playing a high speed sport requiring hard stops and quick pivots.
Outside of superior ball performance and athlete safety, SnapSports Indoor BounceBack ShockTower is the only modular Futsal surface with a built-in shock absorption system, entirely eliminating the need for the time consuming laying of rubber underlayment. As with any of the SnapSports tournament flooring lines, Indoor BounceBack ShockTower installs and dismantles in just a few hours, making for easy and efficient tournament preparation.
SnapSports has been a product partner of US Futsal for over a decade.

SnapSports® Championship Futsal Courts chosen for the 2018 USFF Northeast Regional Tournament in Atlantic City, NJ February 16th–18th.
Earlier last week, 100,000 square feet of SnapSports patented ShockTower® Futsal® surfacing arrived in Atlantic City, New Jersey in preparation for the 2018 Northeast Regional Tournament hosted by the United States Futsal Federation (USFF). 2018 brings the largest Northeast Tournament on record with over 500 competing teams, taking place February 16th–18th at the Atlantic City Convention Center.
SnapSports, an official flooring partner of the USFF for over a decade, is thrilled to have their ShockTower Futsal Surfacing be an integral part in the success of the Northeast Regional Tournament. Over 5,000 Futsal athletes compete on the tournament and championship courts, with winners qualifying for a chance at the US Futsal National Championship. With a large number of participants varying in age and skill level, the Futsal surface selection is stringent. For Alex Para, USFF President, the choice was easy.
“With over 5,000 participating athletes, I rest assured that not only are we providing a surface that exhibits superior ball play, we are providing the safest sports flooring available. SnapSports has manufactured its Indoor ShockTower as a high performance product with an incredible level of protection from injury upon impact that US Futsal is proud to endorse,” stated Para.
SnapSports surfaces are often the choice for tournament events with organization heads citing their player safety and ease of installation. SnapSports surfaces have been chosen and played on by USFF, NBA All-Star Jam Session and Dew NBA 3X, AAU, Big South Volleyball Qualifier and more.

Over 30,000 square feet of SnapSports’ patented Indoor BounceBack with ShockTower® futsal surfacing will floor the 2017 Mayor’s International Fustal Cup, this weekend September 2nd—4th at Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). The premier Labor Day tournament will feature over 40 teams representing 32 countries.
SnapSports BounceBack ShockTower has been the championship court for the Mayor’s International Futsal Cup since its inaugural year in 2014. As one of the largest futsal tournaments in the United States, it was important for tournament officials to pick a futsal surface that could meet several requirements. BounceBack ShockTower was chosen as the only modular surfacing with a built-in shock absorption system, eliminating the need for rubber underlayment. The ShockTower technology was engineered as an added level of “cush” and to ease impact on player joints, regardless of age or skill level.
The 40+ teams competing for the Cup will play three games in a round-robin format. The top two teams from each competitive group will move on to a single-elimination tournament. With the sport of Futsal continuing to grow exponentially throughout the world, SnapSports is a proud partner of the Mayor’s International Futsal Cup.
SnapSports® Indoor Bounceback® ShockTower® chosen as the official championship surface for the United States Futsal Federation National Championship held last weekend in San Jose, CA.
Last weekend, July 13th–16th, the oldest and largest Futsal Event kicked off at the San Jose Convention center. The 2017 US Futsal National Championship featured over 200 futsal teams vying for the prestigious national title. Tournament participants, boys and girls aged 9 to 35+, competed on 90,000 square feet of SnapSports Indoor BounceBack ShockTower surfacing. Bounceback, the only indoor modular surface available with a built in Shock absorption system, was the clear choice for accommodating athletes of all ages and skill levels.
As the official playing surface of the United States Futsal Federation, SnapSports continues a decade-long relationship with the governing body of futsal in the United States. For US Futsal, host of several regional tournaments and clinics in addition to the National Championship, finding a safe and high-performing surface was key.
“With over 5,000 participating athletes, I rest assured that not only are we providing a surface that exhibits superior ball play, we are providing the safest sports flooring available. SnapSports has manufactured its Indoor ShockTower with an incredible level of protection from injury upon impact that US Futsal is proud to endorse,” said Alex Para, President and CEO of the USFF.
With the USFF growing in membership each year, SnapSports is excited to remain the official playing surface of the United States Futsal Federation for several years to come.
‘Tis the season for snow melt, sunny skies, and blooming flowers. It’s also the season for US Futsal to kick into high gear. Following a successful showing at the Northeast Regional in Wildwood, New Jersey, the road to the US Futsal National Championship continued with the US Futsal Northwest Regional Championship in San Jose, California. All games, tournaments, and championships are played on 67,000 square feet of SnapSports Indoor BounceBack with ShockTower technology.
With a decade-long partnership still going strong, we know why US Futsal chose us.
Our SnapSports BounceBack sports surfacing with ShockTower Technology is the only surface on the modular market which offers a built-in shock absorption system. The benefits of this surface choice are many. Most, if not all, US Futsal tournaments and events travel and are held in convention or event centers in various cities. Typically, any portable surface set on concrete requires something underneath. BounceBack eliminates the need for using a rubber underlayment, making for a much faster assembly and disassembly, saving time and labor costs. For top US Futsal officials, an even more important concern is athlete safety. US Futsal tournaments feature athletes of all ages and levels competing for several hours a day running, jumping, and performing various other high-impact movements. SnapSports ShockTower technology gives an added “cush” to the floor—reducing impact upon contact with the surface and protecting joints. For an organization like US Futsal that experiences exponential growth each year, player safety and tournament economics are at the top of the list when choosing a sports surfacing partner.
Futsal (derived from a combination of the Spanish or Portuguese words for soccer and indoor) began as 5-a-side soccer in Uruguay in 1930. Futsal gained popularity throughout South America and Europe and was eventually founded in the US in 1981. Games are played both indoors and out without the use of sidewalls, creating the need for a durable, easy-to-transport, safe futsal surface. Since its inception in 1980, US Futsal has grown to include over 40,000 members, 90% of which are youth. We at SnapSports immediately saw the growth potential of the US Futsal organization and were excited to offer our expertise in the sports flooring arena.
As US Futsal and its tournaments continue to expand, we are looking forward to continually offering innovative sports surface products designed and engineered with premier sports organizations in mind.
