Earlier last week, 100,000 square feet of SnapSports patented ShockTower® Futsal® surfacing arrived in Atlantic City, New Jersey in preparation for the 2018 Northeast Regional Tournament hosted by the United States Futsal Federation (USFF). 2018 brings the largest Northeast Tournament on record with over 500 competing teams, taking place February 16th–18th at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

SnapSports, an official flooring partner of the USFF for over a decade, is thrilled to have their ShockTower Futsal Surfacing be an integral part in the success of the Northeast Regional Tournament. Over 5,000 Futsal athletes compete on the tournament and championship courts, with winners qualifying for a chance at the US Futsal National Championship. SnapSports has manufactured its Indoor ShockTower as a high performance product with an incredible level of protection from injury upon impact that US Futsal is proud to endorse,” stated Para.

SnapSports surfaces are often the choice for tournament events with organization heads citing their player safety and ease of installation. SnapSports surfaces have been chosen and played on by USFF, NBA All-Star Jam Session and Dew NBA 3X, AAU, Big South Volleyball Qualifier and more.

“SnapSports has been a proud partner and official flooring for the United States Futsal Federation for almost a decade. We are elated to continue to support the fast growing support of Futsal in the U.S. and every year look forward to providing our industry leading ShockTower surfacing for the best Fustal athletes in the country to compete on.”

United States FUTSAL Federation Chooses SnapSports As Official Playing Surface

Monday, March 8th, 2010

SnapSports, the world’s leading manufacturer and provider of outdoor multi-courts and sports surfacing, continues their association with the United States Futsal Federation as the exclusive and official flooring of the USFF. The agreement was signed at the FUTSAL national championships this year where SnapSports provided over 100,000 square feet of athletic surfacing.

“We are proud to have been chosen as the only approved surface worthy of Futsal competition by the USFF,” says Jorgen Moller – CEO of SnapSports.

Futsal players from around the world will continue to compete on surfaces, specially designed by SnapSports, which will protect them from injury while providing the speed and response the game requires.

Futsal is a five-a-side version of soccer which is played on basketball-sized pitches. The sport traces its roots to the 1930s and is today played worldwide. Futsal is currently experiencing explosive growth in the US. The US Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) and US Futsal signed an agreement in August of 1995 to promote Futsal in all National State Associations as their game of choice for indoor soccer. Many American soccer coaches use Futsal to train athletes, especially in the off-season.

Asked why they switched from their previous modular surface provider, Alex Para, CEO of the US Futsal Federation, said “We wanted to work with SnapSports because of the quality of their designs and because their floors are easy to install. Futsal demands a lot and SnapSports provides it, plain and simple.”
